3. Market Access

The EDG grant funds up to 70% of qualifying project costs namely third party consultancy fees, software and equipment, and internal manpower cost.

To qualify for the EDG, you need to:

  • Be registered and operating in Singapore
  • Have a minimum of 30% local shareholding
  • Be in a financially viable position to start and complete the project

Applications will be assessed by Enterprise Singapore based on project scope, project outcomes and competency of the service provider.

This research project aims to understand the business structure of Consciousness Infinity Studio, how they should position themselves in the market, how they can understand the needs and wants of their consumers, how they can leverage on growth strategy. The project is separated into 3 parts with each part focusing on a different component. This report summary will look at how the requirements are met.

The first phase of the project is Brand Research where we conduct the SWOT analysis of Consciousness Infinity Studio, coupled with the business excellence framework of the company and formulate a survey which aims to measure consumer loyalty and analyze feedback from previous attendees. In this phase, it is derived that the company has weakness in its branding, main message and limited variety of courses while excelling in having exclusivity distribution rights in China and Singapore, focusing on a specific Chinese target audience and the potential to turn students into therapists. During this phase, the business excellence framework which analyses the 7 core business areas is also formulated with a grading system. From the course evaluation survey where customer loyalty element is inculcated, most of the customers are willing to help to recommend new participants for the courses they had attended.

The second phase focused on Strategic Roadmap Development, which consists of the establishment of the company vision, mission, value and goals, strategic partners’ communication and engagement (SPCE), strategic roadmaps and setting up company policies and streamline daily processes. In SPCE, it is recommended that the company should build a comprehensive company profile for potential partners to understand the goals and values of the company, promise the publishing of books for trainer-partners who have performed well and create a private social media group which gives them a sense of belonging. Company policies involving complaint, disability, equity and diversity are set up in this phase.

The third phase of this project delves into the Growth Strategy Plan which should be leveraged by the company and the data analysis of the survey formulated in the first phase of the project. Market Penetration, Market Development and Product Development are suggested to the company as their marketing strategies are not optimized in the current market. There is a potential for them to enter other markets via different languages and the limited amount of courses (product) may be detrimental to the brand sustainability. LMS and international accreditation are recommended to provide a platform for expanding growth beyond Singapore into China.

This project aims to streamline the HR policies for the various categories of

employees and automates regular updating processes using paperless system to improve the productivity of the HR department.

With proper implementation of the new automated system and

training of the staff in using the system, the project, upon

completion, would help Heart Spring to achieve higher level of

productivity and be ready to expand its business into the region

with a centralized control center for the managers & executives to

better monitor the progress and provide intervening measures to

people under their supervisions to correct any shortcoming and

undesirable behaviors.

 iBosses make use of distance education to allow mentors or teachers to conduct online lessons with students all over the world. In order for students to book a time slot with iBosses to conduct a lesson, they will need to make a phone call manually or send an email. The staff will in turn contact the teachers to confirm their schedule. A

In order for students to book a time slot with iBosses to conduct a lesson, they will need to make a phone call manually or send an email. The staff will in turn contact the teachers to confirm their schedule. As students, mentors or teachers may be in different time zone, the staff needs to calculate the time zone difference between them and assign an appropriate time slot. The staff also needs to take into account the break time, holidays and working hours of the teachers and mentors. If they are not able to make it for the assigned time slot, the staff has to recalculate everything. If the students, mentors or teachers need to rebook their time slot or cancel the time slot, the process will be repeated. This makes the whole process very long and complicated, wasting unnecessary time just to book a time slot.

With the implementation of the Smart Appointment Scheduling System, the time zone difference will automatically be calculated. The student can see the mentor’s or teacher’s available time slot, holidays and break time etc. A middleman will not be required to handle the bookings, saving time and improve efficiency. The student can book a time slot immediately without the need of multiple emails and phone calls.  The system will be integrated with a live video platform (e.g. BigBlueButton etc.) and the payment gateway system. The live video platform will allow students to have live video lessons online or for  lecturer to conduct mass lectures. Once the students made the booking online, they will be directed to make payment. Currently, students make payment using bank transfer, cheque or cash.  After integration with the live platform and payment system, the whole process will be made easier.Once completed, the Smart Appointment Scheduling System can also be sold as a service to other service providers in the marketing place for any industry that needs to schedule appointments online with the challenge of difference in local time between the service provider and the customers, e.g. other courses providers that offer online courses in real time, medical practitioners providing medical services for overseas patients, legal advisors who needs to schedule online conferences with their overseas clients or their colleagues.
